The Amit Program’s Vision Statement
Amit was founded in 2001. It has been a visionary organization that has changed the way special education services are delivered within the Atlanta Jewish community. It has become a nationally and internationally recognized program for high quality special education services. Amit strives to ensure that students with special needs can thrive and be integrated into the community by offering a wide range of educational services and family support. Amit will fulfill this vision by:
- Being a community-wide special education resource serving children from birth to age twenty-one.
- Advocating for Jewish children with special needs.
- Maximizing the financial resources available for special education.
- Partnering with Jewish schools to deliver exemplary special education programs.
