NATURE vs. NURTURE: How Heredity and Environment Impact Learning and Behavior

The Amit Gar’inim
School Program

The Amit Gar'inim School is a SACS accredited kindergarten through eighth grade Jewish day school serving children with diverse learning needs. The word Gar'inim, is the Hebrew word for seeds. We choose this name as our children are like the seeds of a sunflower. Each child is unique and will grow in their own way into strong, tall, vibrant adults. To meet the individual needs of each child Gar'inim offers:
  • Small group and individualized academic instruction
  • Speech and Occupational Therapy incorporated into the school day
  • Social/Emotional support which promotes self-awareness and self confidence
  • Integrated PE and arts programming with host school promoting overall well-being
  • Field trips which promote the generalization of learned concepts into everyday life
Gar'inim's unique program allows us to serve a wide range of learners including those with language based learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and those with other developmental delays and medical conditions.

Learn more about the program at: http://www.amitatlanta.org/garinim.aspx

We are now accepting applications for the 2012-2013 school year. To arrange a tour or for more information contact info@amitatlanta.org or 404-961-9966.

Gar'inim students celebrated Hanukkah with a party at the Purple Hippo art studio. Gabe, along with his classmates, each made a special gift for their families and enjoyed latkes and treats.

Amit Yad B'Yad Sunday school student Dalia prepares to celebrate Hanukkah by making a matchbox menorah.

While your child has ADHD, your role and actions as a parent set the tone for how the family manages with ADHD. Certified Coach Elaine Taylor-Klaus will guide the group through a curriculum that is interactive and allows you to personalize your learning.
