Imagine a Jewish educational experience for every child who desires it. Learning, celebrating and praying together with other Jewish children.
In 2001, Amit embarked on this vision. Today, Amit serves over 200 children through a variety of programs. In only a few years, Amit has become an internationally recognized program, with other Jewish communities looking to us as a role model.
It is estimated that twelve percent of all school age children need some type of academic assistance. With the help of Amit, children with learning disabilities and/or developmental disabilities now have the opportunity to learn alongside their peers and to receive the individualized attention they need to succeed academically.
Amit is the central resource in the Jewish Community for special education, ensuring that each child is able to reach their individual potential, while learning in a Jewish environment.
